Yukon added an Express Entry stream to its existing immigration programs in March 2015.

Almost all of Canada’s provinces and territories can nominate people—with the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy—to immigrate to Canada and become Permanent residents. Individuals who are nominated under a provincial or territorial nominee program must apply to IRCC to become permanent residents of Canada.

The eligibility criteria to be considered under YNP Express Entry are:

  • Have a profile registered in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry system
  • Have a Express Entry Profile number and a Job seeker validation code
  • Must have a valid job offer for full time permanent work from an eligible Yukon employer

  • Sufficient Settlement funds / financial supports in Yukon
  • Genuine Intention to work and settle permanently in Yukon
  • An employer applies through the Express Entry to hire candidates whose occupations fall under NOC O, A or B categories.

A valid offer of employment from an eligible Yukon employer will trigger a YNP Nomination for the Express Entry (EE) candidate and, subsequently, ITA to IRCC for Permanent residence.
